High Risk Pregnancies may have the option of a Private Duty Aide or Licensed Nursing Care with Mother's Helper to keep Mom at home if possible. We work with physicians to stabilize and hopefully prevent early onset of delivery or high risk complications. Call us to work with your health plan! Many maternity packages address high risk issues more than ever! Home Health may be an option for the family who chooses to be at home for nursing care.
Nearly one in five women in the United States is put on bed rest during pregnancy. Complications could cover a range of diagnoses and conditions such as pre-term labor, a weak cervix, intrauterine growth restriction, placenta previa, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, vaginal bleeding, too little amniotic fluid, or a history of miscarriage, stillbirth, or premature birth.
We can support the family if the physician prescribes bed rest by in home aide or hydration therapy to ensure compliance. Mother's Helper are compassionate nurses who can deliver IV Hydration if needed. By giving hydration therapy through an IV line, the mother receives the necessary fluids faster than by drinking them. In this treatment, mothers are given basic IV solutions containing sterile water with small amounts of sodium (salt) or dextrose (sugar). Mothers who are stable and who don’t require hospitalization can have their IV hydration therapy administered in the comfort of their own home. We support the entire family so that prenatal care may be complied with as a sensitive and effective form of prescribed treatment.
